Cool Classic Stories and the Numbers

Its almost time people and I cant wait.  Many stories are forming and at this point it looks like an ever changing weather pattern which will keep them all on their toes.

Here are some interesting Classic notes that I think are more than just interesting.

Jason Williamson:  Home town angler and he will be a huge threat to win, although his odds don’t show it.  He has fished 140+ events and been in the $$ 78 times,  keep an eye on this guy.

Jacob Foutz:  College Champ.  He has been on the biggest stage at his level and come through, and now he finds himself on the biggest stage in his industry, got to be a tad bit nerve racking, let see if the youngster can get it done.

The Longshots:  Stanley Sypeck, Jr., Carl Svebek lll, Luke Gitter, Marty Giddens, Micah Frazier, Jacob Foutz, Brandon Coulter, and Ryan Butler.   These guys are listed as longshots, I think not, they made it this far and did on probably some of the toughest paths possible, don’t be surprised to see any of these guys names up near the top.

Notable names new and old!

Skylar Hamilton:  Dudes made his way to the classic fishing out of a small aluminium boat.  I’ve mentioned before, I’ve had this happen to me as well as all the others in a tournament.  It’s a great story line and how cool would it be if it continued.

Here is the bulk of the field!  30-1 Jason Williamson, Jesse Wiggins, David Walker, Bradly Roy, Cliff Pirch, Cliff Pace, Rick Morris, Brandon Lester, Jamie Hartman, Mark Daniels, Jr., Dustin Connell, Luke Clausen and Josh Bertran. 20-1 Mike McClellend, Matt Lee, Russ Lane, Steve Kennedy, Randy Howell, James Elam, Mark Davis, John Crews, Keith Combs and Hank Cherry. 15-1 Jacob Wheeler, Caleb Sumrall, Gerald Swindle, Skeet Reese, Greg Hackney, Jordan Lee, Todd Faircloth, Seth Feider, Edwin Evers, and John Cox.

10-1 Ott DeFoe.

8-1 Aaron Martens.

7-1 John Powroznik, Mike Iconelli, Alton Jones.

6-1 Kevin VanDam, Jason Christie, Brandon Palaniuk.

5-1 Bobby Lane.

3-1 Brent Ehrler.

2-1 Casey Ashley

The odds on favorite is Casey Ashley at 2-1.  All in all its anybody’s tournament, and the field that’s hovering in the 20-1 range is a pretty tough group to handle.  We will narrow this down as we get closer, I will be heading out Thursday for all the fun.  Tightlines My Friends!

The Bass Dude!!

Hey! I am a Married outdoorsman with two wonderful boys. I Love to fish for largemouth bass and love the backwater creeks and cuts of bigger waters. I was a full-time Bass angler who was lucky enough, along with two of my buddies to have numerous Bass lures with patents. I also, enjoy hunting, Mtn. Biking, Ultra trail running and basically anything to do with the outdoors.
