K-State Wins College Classic On Keowee
Bassfishing was everywhere these past few weekends and we are once again back in Greenville, SC on Lake Keowee as Kansas State takes the classic on Keowee. Zack Vielhauer and Will Andrie had been up and down Keowee and new the south end of the lake was the better angle to take for a win. They brought in a 13.2lb limit of bass to win the Bassmaster College Classic. They as Jason Lee found (Bassmaster Classic winner), docks were the answer to victory as they pitched Texas-rigged Senkos and finesse jigs far back up under the docks to get the job done. The water was primarily clear so they also used a light line flourocarbon and were fishing primarily in 2-10 feet of water with four keepers coming in their first 20 minutes of fishing.
Their catch was mostly spotted bass as with the big boys, but they were able to catch a few of those key largemouth to help them on their way to victory. Congrats guys on a job well done and to K-State for the victory.
