Fishin For Food, It’s Not What You Think!!

Selma Food Bank hosting bass fishing tournament

Head on out to Roland Cooper State Park in Camden for the Selma Food Bank Bass tournament.  The tournament will start around 6:00 (safelight start)  and go till 3pm.  Last year was a great success and all participants liked the way it was run so they are hoping for another great turn-out again this year.

Typical tournaments rules apply, each boat will weigh in 5 fish and the total weight of those fish will determine the winner.  Redeye, Largemouth and Spotted bass are all eligible to be brought to the scales for the weigh-in.

Cost for the tournament is $105 per boat and you can also enter into the lunker pool for an additional $10 bucks.  $2500 big ones for the First place prize and the lunker winner is based on how many boats and lunker entries.

So load up those live wells with some canned goods and support this great event.  I would say also, even if your not fishin head on down with some canned goods and help out the food drive!!

I’m the Bass Dude!

Hey! I am a Married outdoorsman with two wonderful boys. I Love to fish for largemouth bass and love the backwater creeks and cuts of bigger waters. I was a full-time Bass angler who was lucky enough, along with two of my buddies to have numerous Bass lures with patents. I also, enjoy hunting, Mtn. Biking, Ultra trail running and basically anything to do with the outdoors.
