The Guyer students competed against 250 other teams on Lake Lewisville earlier this month, which was a regional tournament.  The scales from that point on did the talking as they did well enough to qualify for the Texas High School Bass Association tournament from May 18-20 on Lake Sam Rayburn.

Students from Guyer High Shcool that are headed to the state tournament include Clay Beeler, Chris Beeler, Bryce Hauk, Tucker Nickells, Tyler Barton, Brandon Green and Dawson Kidwell.

I continue to hear more and more great stories of High School Teams leading the charge into the State Tournaments and eventually into the college ranks.  I think the biggest piece to all this is, its getting our kids outside and enjoying the outdoors as a whole.  Teaching them about conservative at many levels and the big factor is it keeps them away from the one eyed monster and electronics in general.  I wish your teams in general tightlines and keep up the awesome work!

I’m The Bass Dude!!

Hey! I am a Married outdoorsman with two wonderful boys. I Love to fish for largemouth bass and love the backwater creeks and cuts of bigger waters. I was a full-time Bass angler who was lucky enough, along with two of my buddies to have numerous Bass lures with patents. I also, enjoy hunting, Mtn. Biking, Ultra trail running and basically anything to do with the outdoors.
